Night Market | Animated Short Film
Night Market is a 3D animated short about immigration, a chance encounter, and the importance of a very ordinary mooncake. In 2019, it received the World Impact Award from the Grizzly Film and Arts Festival. Night Market was also exhibited at the Worth Ryder Art Gallery Timeless Exhibition.
This short was completed in the 2018-2019 academic year by 12 students as part of the CNM 190: Advanced Digital Animation course. As the director, I oversaw the artistic integrity and development of the story and film. I contributed to all parts of the animation pipeline, most notably to the short’s shading, texturing, and compositing.
